Getting started
and using the unit

1. Connect the enclosed mains adapter
using plug
. Never use a different mains adapter!
2. Before connecting the mains adapter, check that the unit is switched off
(switch
in position OFF).
3. Connect the mains adapter to the correct type of socket (230 V AC). When
the unit is ready to operate and functions correctly, the green indicator LED
will illuminate. If this LED blinks, then the unit is not working correctly.
Do not use the unit in this event and contact the service department.
WARNING
Never look directly into the active light source! You must wear
the protective goggles
your face!
4. Depending on the intended use, place switch
CW irradiation (CW = constant waves) provides uniform continuous irradia-
tion, while PULSE irradiation provides the most intensive light strength and
deep pulsed penetration of the beams. In general, treatment of 6 - 8 minu-
tes is recommended for CW operation, followed by treatment with PULSE
operation for the same length of time.
5. To treat the skin with the optimum light intensity, set the distance between
skin and light therapy unit so that the smallest possible section of skin is irra-
diated by the red light. Direct light source
skin to be treated.
6. Use of spacer ring
directly on light source
treated. Use of the spacer ring guarantees the correct distance between the
Medibeam unit and the area to be treated and an optimum concentration
of the light beams.
7. When you have finished using the unit, place switch
on and disconnect the mains adapter from the mains socket.
NOTES
Hold the light therapy unit vertically above the skin section to be
treated.
Avoid direct illumination of the skin area to be treated by other
