b) Setting up a Master-Slave Chain

The effect light can be operated controlled by a DMX controller or in a master-slave chain. In that case, the integrated
controller of the master device controls the connected GM-313 rechargeable battery-powered LED-spot slave de-
vices.
You can operate a maximum of 30 GM-313 battery-powered LED-spots in a DMX chain without overloading
the controller.
The maximum total length of the DMX chain should not exceed 200 m.
• Connect the DMX OUT port of the master device to the DMX IN port of the first slave device.
• Connect the DMX OUT port of the first slave device to the DMX IN port of the subsequent slave device.
• Proceed as described above with all remaining slave devices.
• Plug an XLR plug with a terminating resistor into the DMX OUT connection of the last slave device (as described in
section "Connection of a DMX controller").

c) Mounting the 2.4 GHz Aerial

The effect light may be operated wireless instead of with a cable via the installed 2.4 GHz DMX transmitter/receiver as
well. The DMX controller used must be equipped with the corresponding DMX radio transmitter.
• Screw the 2.4 GHz aerial onto the aerial socket at the back of the casing.

9. Mains Connection

The mains socket to which the effect light is connected must be close to the device and easily accessible
to quickly separate the device from the mains voltage in case of an error.
Be careful when handling mains cables and mains connections. Mains voltage may cause potentially fatal
electric shock.
When connecting, ensure that the connection cable cannot be crushed or damaged by sharp edges.
Make sure that no cables lie around openly. Install cables professionally to prevent accidents.
Before plugging in the mains plug, ensure that the device voltage indicated at the effect light corresponds to
the available mains voltage. Do not connect the device if the indication does not correspond to the available
mains voltage. Incorrect supply voltage may lead to irreparable damage to the device and danger to the
user.
• Connect the mains connector of the mains cable to the IEC mains connection POWER IN at the device.
• Plug the mains plug of the mains line into a grounded socket.
