MAINTENANCE

WARNING
Before performing any work on the device, remove the plug
from the socket to prevent a harmful electric shock.
Changing the EasyCrystal filter cartridge
For optimum water quality, you should replace the filter cartridge
every three to four weeks.
We recommend that new filter cartridges with activated carbon
are washed out with tap water before use.
Procedure:
Fig. E
1. Pull the filter cartridge out of the housing by the tab in the
middle.
2. Insert the new filter cartridge into the housing.
– The green side of the filter cartridge (fine filter) must be
facing forward!
Cleaning the EasyCrystal Filter
Procedure:

1. Dismantle the device in the sequence shown in the diagram.
– Clean soiled parts with water or a special cleaner for
aquariums. Other cleaning products may harm the crea-
tures and plants in the aquarium.
– Check the BioFoam filter foam. If it is clogged up, it should
ideally be washed in skimmed aquarium water to retain
beneficial bacteria.
2. Reassemble the device in reverse order.
