Removing the Shuttle Hook
1. Raise the needle to its highest position.
2. Open the shuttle cover on the front of the free arm.
3. Take out the bobbin case by opening its latch and pulling it out
from the shuttle race.
4. Slide the latch levers out from the retaining ring and remove the
retaining ring. See fig. A.

5. Remove the hook by grasping the center post of the hook and pull-
ing it out as shown in fig. B.

NOTE:
When the needle is lowered, the shuttle hook cannot be removed.
Cleaning the Shuttle Race
1. Remove any accumulated lint and thread with a brush from the
retaining ring, hook, driver and race body .

2. A cloth dampened with machine oil should be used to wipe the
shuttle race clean of lint.
3. Clean the lint from the shuttle hook using a cloth dampened with
machine oil.
4. Reassemble the hook with the notch at the top and push the latch
levers back to their positions to hold the retaining ring in place.
NOTE:
If the needle has moved, you will need to return it to its highest posi-
tion before reinstalling the hook. The hook will not go back into place
unless the needle and take-up lever are in their highest positions.
Cleaning the Feed Dogs (fig. C)
1. Remove the needle plate using a coin or screwdriver to remove the
screws.
2. Clean the lint from the upper part of the feed dogs and shuttle race
body with a brush.

Retirer le crochet de la navette
1. Remonter complètement l'aiguille.
2. Ouvrir le couvercle de la navette situé à l'avant du bras libre.
3. Tirer sur le loquet puis sortir le boîtier de la canette hors de la
coursière.
4. Faire glisser les leviers du loquet de la bague de retenue puis retirer
celle-ci. Voir fig.A.

5. Retirer le crochet en saisissant son axe central et en le tirant comme
l'indique la fig. B.

REMARQUE:
Il est impossible de retirer le crochet de la navette lorsque l'aiguille est
abaissée.
Nettoyage de la coursière de la navette
1. Retirer toute bourre et fil à l'aide d'une brosse de la bague de rete-
nue, du crochet, de l'entraînement et de la coursière.

2. Utiliser un chiffon imbibé d'huile de machine pour débarrasser la
coursière de la navette de toute bourre.
3. Utiliser un chiffon imbibé d'huile de machine pour débarrasser le
crochet de la navette de toute bourre.
4. Réinstaller le crochet, avec l'encoche vers le haut, et repousser les
leviers de loquets en place de façon à ce qu'ils maintiennent la
bague de retenue en place.
REMARQUE :
Si l'aiguille a bougé, la remonter complètement avant de remettre le
crochet en place. Le crochet ne se remettra pas en place si l'aiguille et
le levier releveur ne sont pas entièrement remontés.
Nettoyage des griffes d'entraînement (fig. C)
1. Retirer la plaque à aiguille en utilisant une pièce de monnaie ou un
tournevis pour enlever les vis.
2. Débarrasser la partie supérieure des griffes d'entraînement ainsi
que la coursière de la navette de toute bourre à l'aide d'une brosse.
