When the switch is first started, all of the port Link/Act LEDs flash once. The
Status LED then flashes to indicate that the switch is booting and performing its
Power On Self Test (POST) routine. At the end of the boot sequence, the LEDs
begin their normal functions.

Power and RPSU LEDs

Each 1600 Series switch has two identical AC power supplies with independent
AC main connections, as well as independent AC power switches on the rear
panel of the switch. Each of these power supplies is capable of fully powering the
1600 Series switch.
If both power supplies are connected to the AC main circuit they operate in
load-sharing mode. Consequently, if one of the power supplies fails, the remaining
power supply then carries the full power load. The Power and RPSU LEDs work
in concert to display the status of the two 1600 Series switch power supplies.
