  • Page 6 Use an RCA cable (not included), as shown, to connect your digital receiver’s subwoofer output to the subwoofer. Use the bypass crossover control input. On the PV400, set the crossover to the direct position and connect to line level in.

  • Page 8 PV 4/6/8 MANUAL 7.1.99 ƒ 7/30/99 Connecting Your Subwoofer to Stereo or Dolby Pro Logic ® Systems For stereo or Dolby Pro Logic systems, the easiest method is to use speaker wire connections as shown. You may also use the “sub out” connection from your receiver to the input on the subwoofer marked use crossover control.
  • Page 9 Set to on, and the PV800 will stay on all the time. The PV600 and PV400 have auto-on circuitry that turns the subwoofer on when a signal is presented, and turns off if no signal is detected for 15 minutes.

Typically, the sound is best when the subwoofer is within 15 feet (5m) of the main speakers. However, the sharp 24dB/octave crossover roll-off permits placement farther from the main speakers if necessary.
