Dissolve/disperse
solid sample in
solvent.
Background Spectrum Collection

Insert blank slide into Quest
puck.

Quest Preparation
Install Quest into
your IR
spectrometer
(Consult Quest
manual for further
details). If present
remove existing
puck.
Sample Loading
Pipette liquid into
sample well. Silicon
MUST be completely
covered.

Pipette solution/dispersion into
sample well. Crystal MUST be
completely covered.
Sample Measurement

Record a background
spectrum.
Fit Arrow Puck to
2
Quest.

Remove bank slide.
(Optional) sample cap
can be fitted to
suppress spillage and
reduce evaporation.

Allow solvent to
evaporate fully.
