This menu offers several customer accessible settings.
Set Regen Time: This sets the time of day (in hours & minutes) that
the computer will start an automatic regeneration. The optimum
time is when little to no water will be used in the home. The default
setting of 2:00 AM (02:00 metric) works well for most customers.
Salt Settings:
There are several selections in the salt settings menu.

Low Salt Alert:
You have the option of turning a low salt warning
ON or OFF. If set to ON, the system will sound an audible alarm
tone when your salt level drops to 30 pounds or less. This serves as a
reminder to add salt to your brine tank.
Salt Audible Time
: If your Low Salt Alert is turned ON, the alarm
tone will sound for one hour, starting at the time shown here. You can
adjust the starting hour to suit your schedule. Pick a time when you
are likely to hear and respond to the alarm.
Note that if the alarm sounds for one hour with no action on your
part, it will turn off and sound again at the same time the next day.
Salt Type
: You have the option to use sodium chloride or potas-
sium chloride salt. Sodium chloride is less costly and more readily
available. Some people may prefer potassium chloride as part of a very
low sodium diet. Potassium salt provides less capacity per pound then
sodium salt. When you select the salt type you use, the computer will
automatically adjust its calculations for the proper capacity.
Salt Form: Salt is typically sold as bagged pellets/cubes or in formed
blocks. The form of salt you use has an effect on how much salt your
brine tank can hold. Pellets fill the tank volume more completely.
The brine tank has separate scales for bag (pellet) or block. Choose
the salt form you use (pellet or block) so that the computer can prop-
erly calculate salt level.
Helpful Tip: The Customer
mobile app gives you other
options for salt alerts, such as
push notification or email.
Helpful Tip: The scale for block
salt is designated by levels 1-4.
The scale for bag salt or potas-
sium chloride is designated by
levels 1-5. For larger tanks, a salt
scale sticker is available through
your RainSoft Dealer, part number
19024.
