TROUBLESHOOTING

UV light indicator not lighting up
If the UV indicator on the top of the filter casing (part 3) is not lighting
up follow these troubleshooting steps:
1) Open the CUP-311 by unfastening the casing clips (parts 4) and
removing the filter casing (part 3).
2) Fully remove the pump (part 12) and the UV clarifier (part 6) clear
from the filter body (part 10).
3) For only a few seconds turn on the system and check if you can see
the UV is operational through the viewing hole on top of the UV
clarifier (part 6).
If the UV is operational, clean the filter casing's (part 3) UV indicator.
The pump (part 12) should be operational during these few seconds.
4) If you find that the UV light is still not operational, change the UV
bulb inside the UV clarifier.
5) If the UV clarifier (part 6) and the pump (part 12) are both not
working, check that you have power from the mains supply.
6) If you find that the UV light is still not operational the UV ballast may
have developed a fault and you will need to contact the supplier of
your CUP-311 to obtain replacement parts.
Please remember UV bulbs for use in ponds should be replaced every
12 months.
NO WATER FLOW / REDUCED WATER FLOW
If you find that the CUP-311 has reduced or no water flow follow these
troubleshooting steps:
1) Perform full maintenance as per the MAINTENANCE section of this
manual – pay extra attention the cleaning of the impeller and shaft
(parts 12-3, 12-5) as well as their housing within the pump (part 12).
2) If you find you still have reduced or no water flow, open the
CUP-311 by unfastening the casing clips (parts 4) and removing the
filter casing (part 3).
3) Fully remove the pump (part 12) and the UV clarifier (part 6) clear
from the filter body (part 10).
If none of the above resolves your issue, or you require spare parts for
your CUP-311 please contact the supplier of your CUP-311.
