Instrument EC Signal Testing – The Veris OpticMapper Instrument is shipped with an
Instrument Test Load that will enable you to quickly check the instrument to ensure
that the EC circuit is functioning properly. To perform this test, do the following:
1) Disconnect the signal cable from the EC Signal connection on the
OpticMapper.
2) Connect the test load to the EC Signal Connection.
3) Turn on OpticMapper Instrument and start up software.
4) The display should show: (See Figure 3)
5) If the readings vary significantly (more than 10) contact Veris service
department.
6) Once the test is complete, remove the test load and reinstall the EC signal
cable.
