Troubleshooting

If the device does not work properly, check whether you are able to rectify the problem
yourself. If the problem cannot be solved with the steps that are listed, contact the cus-
tomer service department.
Do not attempt to repair a defective electrical device yourself!
Problem
The device cannot
be switched on.
The fuse in the fuse
box is triggered.
The brushes do not
rotate.
Shoe wax is
running out of the
shoe wax con-
tainer.

Possible cause
The mains plug is not inserted
correctly in the socket.
The socket is defective.
No mains voltage is present.
The On / Off switch (9) has not
been pressed.
Too many devices connected
to the same circuit.
No error can be identifi ed.
Have the brushes been
removed from the device in
between times?
Are the brushes being blocked
by an object?
There is too much shoe wax in
the shoe wax container.
The sphere and spring are
not correctly positioned in the
shoe wax dispenser (4).
Fix
Insert the mains plug.
Try another
socket.
Check the fuse of the mains
connection.
Press down the On / Off
switch.
Reduce the number of devices
in the circuit.
Contact our customer service
department.
Check whether the screws are
fi xed fi rmly in place (see the
"Cleaning and Maintenance"
chapter | "Removing /
Attaching Brushes").
Switch off the device, pull out
the mains plug and remove
the blockage.
Do not overfi ll the shoe wax
container!
Check whether the sphere
and spring have been inserted
correctly (see the "Cleaning
and Maintenance" chapter
| "Inserting / Removing the
Shoe Wax Container").
