TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Possible Cause
Preamp will Battery is dead

installed in the

Solution
Replace battery with a new
9V battery. (see "Low Battery
Indicator" on page 16)
Ensure the polarity markers
of the battery match those
of the preamp's battery
compartment. (see "Low
Battery Indicator" on page
16)
Turn on preamp (see
"Activating Preamp" on page
15)
Ensure cables are routed
properly to appropriate
equipment (see "Standard
Configuration" on page
12).
Remove preamp from signal
path and connect probe
directly to instrument. Verify
probe signal is present on
instrument. Should failure
continue, contact Jireh
Industries for repair (see
"Technical Support" on page
20).
