First Use

For general handling only: The
left coffee unit is shown in the
picture. The general handling
instructions apply to both cof-
fee units unless explicitly stated
otherwise.
CAUTION
Risk of bruising
Reaching inside the machine
could result in minor or moder-
ate injury.
Do not put fingers into the
capsule insertion slots.
WARNING
Milk and milk container(s)
– food safety risk
Only use heat-treated (e.g., pas-
teurized or ultra-pasteurized)
cow's milk.
Practice good hygiene when
cleaning the milk container(s).
Check hygiene before pouring
milk into the container(s).
Do not use milk that has been
open for more than 24 hrs.
The use and/or consumption of
potentially unsafe food products
can promote food-borne ill-
nesses, potentially leading to
severe health hazards.
WARNING
Risk of allergenic cross-
contamination
Allergens can be fatal to certain
individuals.
Always clean the container(s) in
a dishwasher after use.
Do not mix containers together.
Do not use the same paper
towel to clean different milk
tubes.
WARNING
Food safety risk
The use of non-disposable
tissues or sponges can lead to
bacterial contamination of the
milk.
Only use single-use disposable
tissues or paper towels to wipe
off milk suction tubes.
To clean the outside of the ma-
chine, refer to external cleaning
►see page 14 .

The power switch is located on the bot-
tom of the machine.
Make sure the water supply is on
and working.

Cold start
The machine performs a cold start rinse
(display shows a timer).
Noise increases during rinsing.

Clean the milk container(s) in a dish-
washer.

Insert both milk suction tubes through the
covers into the milk container(s).

Once the machine is heated up, all but-
tons show steady white.

Carefully wipe off both milk suction tubes
using only single-use disposable tissues or
paper towels.
The ideal temperature for foam-
ing milk is 40 °F.
The type of milk affects foam
quality. When switching from
pasteurized to ultra-pasteurized
milk, it may be necessary to
adjust the milk foam settings
►see page 17 .
Ultra-pasteurized milk is ideal
for foaming. It is slightly easier
to foam compared to pasteur-
ized milk.
The settings for the left milk con-
tainer do not automatically apply
to the right milk container. The
settings for both containers have
to be configured separately.
