VII. RS485 INTERFACE OPERATION
A. INTRODUCTION
This instrument is using the standard RS485 MODBUS RTU protoc
ol. Please read the "protocol.doc" in the accompanying disk to help
you program an application that will communicate with the instrume
nt. There is also a simple demo program that you can
install to see the
protocol in action.
B. PREPARING THE METER
The instrument's RS485 MODBUS (RTU) interface requires 2
ordinary (preferably awg 24) unshielded twisted pair wires
connected in a daisy-chain configuration.
