Using the automatic
ice-maker*
With the door closed, the system delivers ice cubes

around six or seven times every 24 hours. Ice cube
production depends to a large degree on how
frequently the door is opened, the amount of fresh
food in the freezer compartment, ambient temperature
and the temperature setting. After a period without
use, the ice maker needs to be run a whole night
before it will deliver the first cubes.
To remove and reposition the ice container:
Put your fingers in the opening at the base of the
container (right-hand side), pull the lever and lift the
container upwards and outwards (see figure).
To reposition it, rest the base of the container on the
ledge in the inner door and lower it into position.
NB: to make large quantities of ice, set the
"FastFreezing" function (see Quick Guide). If large
quantities of ice cubes are needed, it's best to take
them directly from the ice container and not from the
dispenser.
Important: switch off the ice maker before removing
the container to prevent accidental discharge of ice
cubes.
It's advisable to clean the grid covering the ice maker
regularly and to use only drinking water for this
purpose.
