CAUTION:
Al w ays be sure that the tool is
s w itched off and unplugged before carrying out
any w ork on the tool.

Make sure that the backing pad is
secured properly. L oose atta c h ment w ill run out o f

CAUTION:
Only use hook-and-loop system
pads for polishing.

To install the pad, first remove all dirt and foreign mat-
ter f rom t h e h ook-an d -loop s y stem o f t h e pa d an d t h e
ba c king pa d . A tta c h t h e pa d to t h e ba c king pa d so t h at
t h eir e d ges are aligne d .
To remove the pad from the backing pad, just pull up
f rom its e d ge.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the pad and
backing pad are aligned and securely attached.

t h ro w n out f rom t h e tool.

OPERATION

CAUTION:
Only use Makita genuine pads for
polishing.
CAUTION:
Make sure the w ork material is
secured and stable. Falling object may cause
personal injury.
CAUTION:
Hold the tool firmly with one hand
on the s w itch handle and the other hand on the
front grip ( or side handle ) w hen performing the
tool.
CAUTION:
Do not run the tool at high load
over an extended time period. I t ma y result in tool
malfunction which causes electric shock, fire and/or
serious injury.
CAUTION:
Be careful not to touch the rotating
part.
NOTICE:
Never force the tool. E x c essi v e pressure
may lead to decreased polishing efficiency, damaged
pa d , or s h orten tool li f e.
NOTICE:
Continuous operation at high speed
may damage w ork surface.

Use a wool pad for rough finishing then use a sponge
pad for fine finishing.

CAUTION:

perform inspection or maintenance.
NOTICE:
Never use gasoline, benzine, thinner,
alcohol or the like. Discoloration, deformation or
cracks may result.
