To update the switch's configuration file
The configuration file a contains information and configuration settings
specified by the network administrator. For more information on using
configuration files, see page 75.
1 Click the Reset and Update menu, then click Change Configuration
File.
2 Select a mode from the Update Mode box.
• Select Network if the switch will use a network connection for
downloading the new configuration file.
• Select SLIP if the switch will use a SLIP out-of-band connection
(for example, via a serial port) for downloading the new
configuration file.
3 Type the IP address of the server that hosts the file in the TFTP Server
Address box.
4 Select enabled from the File Download box.
5 Type the name of the configuration file in the File Name box.
6 Click Submit.
The new configuration settings will be applied to the switch upon the next
reboot.
