Operation WARNING! Battery tools are always in operating condition. There- fore, switch should always be locked when not in use or carrying at your side. KICKBACK See Figures 4 - 7, page 4. Kickback occurs when the blade stalls rapidly and the saw is driven back towards you. Blade stalling is caused by any action which pinches the blade in the wood.

Operation Hold the base fl at against the workpiece and raise or lower the saw until the indicator mark on bracket aligns with the notch on the blade guard. Tighten the depth lock lever securely by pushing it down- ward toward the base. DANGER! OPERATING THE SAW See Figures 11 - 13, page 5.

Machine care 10. MACHINE CARE Overload Never use excessive force when cutting. Too much pressure reduces the speed of the machine, and the required power is greatly reduced. This may result in overload which can damage the motor of the machine. When the machine becomes too hot, allow it to run for two minutes at no load and then interrupt working for a short time.
