AUD (Auto-Mute/Volume Control) Button

Manual Muting of Audio Alerts
k
(Radar and SWS
Whether Auto-Mute is selected on or off in Selectable
Features, the audio alerts can be completely muted by
pressing the AUD button during an alert. The display will
briefly show
long as the signal is present. The unit will remain in manual
mute mode for approximately 1 2 seconds from the last
received alert.
Note—because Laser alerts are not lengthy or sustained,
muting is not required (see page 21)

Volume Control

Press and hold the AUD button to engage the
volume control; the volume will cycle high to low.
The audio level has 9 settings for VECTOR 985.
Release the AUD button when you have reached your
desired audio setting.

CTY (City/Highway) Button

The CTY button has four functions:
1. AutoScan
2. Highway Mode
3. City X Filtration Mode
4. City X/K/Ka Filtration Mode

VECTOR 985 is factory shipped with AutoScan
engaged. Autoscan
adjust sensitivity to X and K Band Radar whatever
your driving environment. Whether driving in densely
populated urban areas or "wide open" rural areas,
