Troubleshooting

Incorrect operations can be mistaken as malfunctions. If you believe the unit is not
operating correctly, consult the chart below.
Sometimes incorrect operation may be due to a malfunction in another component. If the
problem is not fixed check the other components used with the DVD recorder.
If the problem still persists, contact your nearest Pioneer authorized service center or
dealer for service.
M PRA-BD11
Symptom
Video input via SDI cannot be
m o n i t o r e d v i a t h e D V D
recorder output.
Audio input via SDI cannot be
m o n i t o r e d v i a t h e D V D
recorderoutput.
Audio input via AES/EBU
cannot be monitored via the
DVD recorder output.
Cause/Remedy
÷ Check whether [V Input] is set to "SDI" on the DVD
recorder.
÷ Check whether preview, recording or other encode
operation is running on the DVD recorder.
÷ If the "No SDI_V Input" error message appears, an
SDI signal of the supported format is not being input.
Check whether cables are correctly connected and if
the input signal is the correct format.
÷ This unit does not support VITC. The above message
may be output for a signal containing VITC. Should
this happen, set VITC to OFF.
÷ Check whether [A Input] is set to "SDI" on the DVD
recorder.
÷ Check whether preview, recording or other encode
operation is running on the DVD recorder.
÷ If the "No SDI_V Input" error message appears, an
SDI signal of the supported format is not being input.
Check whether cables are correctly connected and if
the input signal is the correct format.
÷ This unit does not support VITC. The above message
may be output for a signal containing VITC. Should
this happen, set VITC to OFF.
÷ When the "No SDI_A Input" error message appears,
the SDI signal may not contain embedded audio.
Check the input signal format.
÷ Check whether [A Input] is set to "AES/EBU" on
the DVD recorder.
÷ Check whether preview, recording or other encode
operation is running on the DVD recorder.
÷ If the "No AES/EBU Input" error message appears,
an AES/EBU signal of the supported format is not being
input. Check whether cables are correctly connected
and if the input signal is the correct format.
