Maintenance

9.1

Check

R
Have the SCT 415 S52 checked once a year to main-
tain adjustment accuracy.
R
Check the measurement board magnets, and clean
them if necessary.
R
Replace the measurement boards if they are dama-
ged.
Suitable measuring equipment is required to check
the relative parallel positions of the reference boards,
reflector unit and calibration board. It is recommended
to use a line laser approved by the manufacturer.

Test equipment for checking the SCT 415 S52 and
laser can be ordered from the manufacturer.

Cleaning

Clean only with a soft, lint-free cloth.

Do not use abrasive cleaning agents and coarse work-
shop cloths!

Do not use solvent-containing cleaners.
R
Wipe off any fluids immediately.
9.3

Storage

R
When they are not in use, put the adjustable feet of the
device in the lowermost position.
R
Store the measurement boards in the storage box when
they are not in use.
R
Protect the measurement boards from damage.

Disposal and scrapping

Dismantle the SCT 415 S52, sort by materials, and
dispose of them in accordance with applicable regula-
tions.
SCT 415 S52, accessories and packaging
should be sorted for environmental-friendly
recycling.

Do not dispose SCT 415 S52 into
household waste.
Only for EC countries:
The SCT 415 S52 is subject to the European
directive 2012/19/EC (WEEE).
Dispose of used electrical and electronic
devices, including cables, accessories and
batteries, separately from household waste.

Make use of the local return and collection
systems for disposal.

Proper disposal of SCT 415 S52 prevents
environmental pollution and possible health
hazards.
