Battery and power

Cannot turn on the camera.
The battery is discharged. Charge the battery (page 16).
The plug of the AC Adaptor has been disconnected from the wall outlet (wall socket).
Connect it to the wall outlet (wall socket) (page 16).
If the LCD panel is facing outside, face it back to the camera side (page 19).
The power turns off suddenly.
If you do not operate the camera for about five minutes while the power is on, the camera
turns off automatically to prevent wearing down the battery. Turn on the camera again.
The battery remaining indicator is incorrect.
This phenomenon occurs when you use the camera in an extremely hot or cold location.
The displayed battery remaining differs from the current one. Fully discharge and then charge
the battery to correct the display.
The battery is discharged. Charge the battery.

Shooting still images/movies

Your camera cannot record images.
Check the free capacity of the internal memory or "Memory Stick PRO Duo" media. If it is
full, do one of the following:
Delete unnecessary images (page 32).
Change the "Memory Stick PRO Duo" media.
Continuous shooting is possible for approximately 25 minutes.
Press
(Play) button and set the camera to recording mode to shoot a still image or a
movie.
The LCD screen does not display the still images or movies you are shooting.
Your camera is set to the playback mode. Press
mode (page 24).
Anti-blur function does not work.
The anti-blur function does not work when shooting still images.
The anti-blur function may not work properly when shooting night scenes.
The anti-blur function does not work when the movie size is [1080 30P].
Recording takes a long time.
The NR slow shutter function is activated. This is not a malfunction.
(Play) button to change to the recording
