Primary & Secondary Ignition
Once the firing order has been chosen, the ignition scope screen appears and is configured for
primary ignition. Notice that all eight cylinders are displayed in the correct firing order across the
bottom of the screen but the patterns for each cylinder are very small. This is because the
division on the screen is set at 50 V.
Pictured above is the same display but we have set the divisions to 10 V giving a more clear
picture as to what the primary ignition waveforms look like.
