Energizing the Incoming MV Cables

PHASE CONFORMITY TEST

Serial Light
If the phases matching, light is OFF .
If the phases not maching, light is ON.
(Test device is optional.)

CABLE TEST

Incoming / outgoing switchgear
To check cable faults & insulation
• Turn the disconnector OFF .
•
Turn the earthing disconnector ON.
• Open the switchgear front cover.
• Place the cable test device (Test rod as optionally.)
• Turn the switch OFF .
•
Perform the required test for check the cable healthy.

Voltage Indicator
When MV cables are powered, voltage indicator
lights must be on.
Incoming switchgear
To check cable faults & insulation.
• Turn the disconnector OFF .
Switch-OFF the power of the switchgear from previous center
•
• Turn the earthing disconnector ON.
Open the switchgear front cover.
•
Place the cable test device.
•
Turn the earthing disconnector OFF from both sides.
•
• Perform the required test.
