How to interpret the marks:
3 rings visible: brake-pad thick-
ness is at least 75 %
2 rings visible: brake-pad thick-
ness is at least 50 %
1 ring visible: brake-pad thick-
ness is at least 25 %
No rings visible: Brake pads
worn to wear limit; check as
described above
Check front brake fluid
level
WARNING
Insufficient brake fluid in the
brake-fluid reservoir.
Considerably reduced braking
performance caused by air in the
brake system.
Check brake fluid level
regularly.
Make sure ground is level and
firm and park motorcycle.
Brake-fluid reservoir horizontal,
motorcycle standing upright.
Check brake fluid level in front
brake-fluid reservoir 1.
NOTICE
The brake fluid level in the brake-
fluid reservoir drops due to brake
pad wear.
