Do not disconnect the charging
clips during charging and make
sure that they are connected
firmly and securely. The char-
ging current is max. 1.5 to 3 A.
Monitor the charging operati-
on at all times.
If the yellow-colored illuminated dis-
play (6) goes out, then the normal
load operating mode (see Starting
up) can be configured.
Continue to monitor the charging
operation.
After charging has ended, turn the
operating mode selector switch (8)
to 0 (OFF).
First disconnect the red charging
clip followed by the blue charging
clip from the battery.
Back-up mode
This mode of operation allows the
vehicle electrical system to be
supplied whilst the battery is being
changed.
First set the operating mode
selector switch (8) to 0 (OFF).
Connect the charging clips to the
battery terminals with the correct
polarity.
Securely connect the red clip to
the positive pole and the blue clip
to the negative pole.
Connect the charging clips in such
a way that the battery terminals
can easily be disconnected from
the battery.
Important:
The charging clips must not
come loose whilst the battery
is being removed.
Turn the operating mode selector
switch (8) to the
mode) setting. The battery can
now be removed.
Important:
Voltage is present at the char-
ging clips. Do not disconnect the
charging clips during back-up
mode and make sure that they are
securelyand safely attached.
After the end of back-up mode, set
the operating mode selector switch
(8) to 0 (OFF).
First disconnect the red charging
clip from the battery, followed by the
blue charging clip.
Floating operation
Set the rotary latching switch (1) for
selecting the battery type to the set-
ting for maintenance-free batteries
(bottom). Check the condition of
the battery every 3 months.
