Original operating instructions
1) Declaration of Conformity
We, being solely responsible, hereby declare that
these flat filling machines, identified by type and
serial number, meet all relevant requirements of
directives and standards.
2) Specified Conditions of Use
The flat filling machine is suited for
• burnishing, deadening and structuring
• polishing and smoothing,
• sanding and deburring the following materials:
• metal, wood and plastics.
It is for dry processing only.
The user bears sole responsibility for any damage
caused by inappropriate use.
Generally accepted accident prevention
regulations and the enclosed safety information
must be observed.
3) General Safety Information
Pay attention to all parts of the text that
are marked with this symbol for your own
protection and for the protection of your
power tool!
WARNING – Reading the operating
instructions will reduce the risk of injury.
WARNING Read all safety warnings and instructions.
Failure to follow all safety warnings and instruc-
tions may result in an electric shock, fire and/or
serious injury verursachen.
Keep all safety instructions and information for
future reference. Pass on your power tool only together
with these documents.
4) Special Safety Instructions
Hold the power tool by insulated gripping surfaces only,
as the abrasive belt can hit its own cable. Damaging
a live cable can apply voltage to equipment parts and
cause an electric shock.
Flying sparks are produced when grinding metals. Make
sure that no persons can be endangered. Do not place
any flammable materials in the vicinity (sparking area)
due to the risk of fire.
During the processing, especially of metals, conductive
dust may be deposited inside the machine. This can
lead to the transfer of electrical energy to the machine
housing. This can justify the temporary danger of an
electric shock. Therefore, it is necessary to blow out the
machine through the vents regularly and frequently with
compressed air.
It is recommended to use a stationary extraction sys-
tem and to connect a residual current device (FI). If the
10
machine is switched off by the residual current operated
circuit breaker, it has to be checked and cleaned. For
engine cleaning, see chapter 8. Cleaning.
Remove the plug from the socket before any adjustment,
conversion, maintenance or cleaning.
The permissible belt speed of the sanding belt must be
at least as high as the speed indicated on the power
tool. An abrasive belt that moves faster than allowed can
break and fly around.
Before each use, check that the abrasive belt is correctly
attached and that it is placed completely on the rollers.
Test run: Allow the machine to idle for 30 seconds in a
safe position. Stop immediately if significant vibrations
occur or if other defects are detected. If this condition
occurs, check the machine to determine the cause.
4.1 General Safety Recommendations for grinding,
polishing and satin finishing:
a) This power tool is intended to function as a grinding
machine or polisher. Read all safety warnings, instruc-
tions, illustrations and specifications provided with this
power tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below
may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
b) Do not use accessories which are not
specifically designed and recommended by the
tool manufacturer. Just because the accessory can
be attached to your power tool, it does not assure safe
operation.
c) Wear personal protective equipment.
Depending on application, use face shield, safety gog-
gles or safety glasses. As appropriate, wear dust mask,
hearing protectors, gloves and workshop apron capable
of stopping small abrasive or workpiece fragments.
The eye protection must be capable of stopping flying
debris generated by various operations. The dust mask or
respirator must be capable of filtrating particles genera-
ted by your operation. Prolonged exposure to high
intensity noise may cause hearing loss.
d) Keep bystanders a safe distance away from the
work area. Anyone entering the work area must wear
personal protective equipment. Fragments of workpiece
or of a broken accessory may fly away and cause injury
beyond immediate area of operation.
e) Hold the power tool by the insulated gripping
surfaces only when performing an operation where the
accessory may contact hidden wiring or its own cord.
Cutting accessory contacting a „live" wire may make
exposed metal parts of the power tool „live"and shock
the operator.
f) Position the cord clear of the spinning accessory.
If you lose control, the cord may be cut or snagged and
your hand or arm may be pulled into the spinning
accessory.
g) Never lay the power tool down until the
accessory has come to a complete stop. The spinning
