5.7. Dismounting and storing

Dismounting
When dismounting the compactor from the carrier, follow the following guidelines for your safety.
Locate the carrier on an even and safe area.
Put the compactor down stably using clean and solid supports (like solid wooden blocks).
Turn off the carrier engine and wait until the residual pressure in the compactor is drained (about 5
minutes).
Close all the stop valves on the piping.
Disassemble the compact connection hoses, and be sure to put the hose plugs to the hoses to
prevent contamination by foreign substance.
Dismount the compact in reverse order to that of mounting described in section 3.2.
Storing
When you store compactor, observe the following guidelines. Inadvertent storing may result in faults or
shortening of life.
Store the compactor by erecting it straight using firm supports such solid wood blocks.
Put the hose plug firmly to the hose so that foreign substances cannot enter the hose during
storage.
Keep the compactor away from rain and moisture, as they cause the compactor to rust. If you are
going to store it for a long time, perform sufficient rust preventing treatment.
Prevent environmental pollution by oil or grease spill.
