PROPELLER - INSPECTION

REASON
This owner advisory is to inform you that CAL-61-02 has been issued.
Cessna has determined that some airplanes have been delivered with one or more of the eight propeller
mounting bolt washers installed with the chamfered side facing the mounting flange.
DESCRIPTION
CAL-61-02 provides parts and instructions to do an inspection of the propeller mounting bolt washers to
make sure that they are installed correctly. If they are not installed correctly, the bolts and washers are
discarded, and new ones are installed with the chamfered side of the washer facing the bolt head.
COMPLIANCE
Mandatory: This service letter shall be accomplished within the next 50 hours of operation.
LABOR HOURS
4.0 man-hours to accomplish this service letter.
WARRANTY
For all airplanes identified within the serial effectivity:
Applicable parts credit and a labor allowance credit of 4.0 man-hours per airplane will be provided to
accomplish this service letter.
Freight will be credited at the most economical method unless pre-approved by Cessna.
To receive credit, the work must be completed and a warranty claim submitted by a Cessna Caravan
or Propjet Authorized Service Facility within 30 calendar days of service letter compliance before the
credit expiration dates shown below.

service letter CAL-61-02 accomplished on your airplane.
Special Note to Authorized Service Facilities:
When you complete the warranty claim, the labor allowance claimed shall be itemized for each above
action completed.
