    Overview: The DMS-OUT provides 3rd Party devices access to the streaming sources in a DMS Audio Network. This device is the perfect solution for adding any new/existing Features and Benefits.......................1 AVR, soundbar, or other audio device to a DMS Audio Network.

    The DMS-OUT is loaded with features designed to provide the best audio experience. Enjoy features such as: ● 3rd Party Room Linking: When connected to a 3rd Party AVR, the DMS-OUT allows this device to become a DMS Zone. All DMS Zones provide the ability to link zones together and control a single menu for volume of individual or all linked zones.

    ● URC Interface (TRC, TKP, or URC Mobile 2.0 devices) DMS Room Linking: The DMS-OUT permits 3rd party AVRs to “link” with other DMS Zones. Doing so creates a volume pop-up menu providing feedback to control volume of all linked rooms as well as individual rooms.

    Rear Panel Description: The following section defines all the outputs available on the rear panel of the DMS-OUT. 5V DC Input: Provides power to the DMS-OUT. PoE may be used as a substitute. Analog Output: Standard RCA out (analog) connector.
  • Page 6 Digital Output - Optical: This input uses standard S/PDIF Optical TOSLINK connector. The DMS-IN/OUT converts Dolby Digital 5.1/DTS 5.1 to a 2.0 Stereo DMS Stream. Digital Output - Coax: Standard Digital Coax connector. The DMS-IN/OUT converts Dolby Digital 5.1/DTS 5.1 to a 2.0 Stereo DMS Stream.
  • Page 7 LAN Port: This 10/100 Ethernet port supports PoE and connects to the URC Audio streams on the local network. This is also how the DMS-OUT receives commands and sends audio. The DMS-OUT does not support a wireless (Wi-Fi) network connection.

    Top Panel & LED States: There are three (3) LED lights at the top of the DMS-OUT which can provide users with basic and troubleshooting information. Power LED: Status LED: ● Off: Unit is not receiving power. ● Off: Unit has no been programmed with a Total Control file.

    Network LED: Bottom Panel Description: Located beneath the DMS-OUT is a Reset button. This button is recessed so use a ● Off: Unit is not connected to the local area network (LAN) and cannot paperclip or something similar to press the button.
