Handling discs When holding discs, please hold it by its rim. When holding discs, be sure the label side should be upwards. Do not grasp the non-label side of the disc. Disc storage Never store disc in the place with high temperature, strong light or humidity. Put the disc back to the case after playback.

Disc terms Title Generally, pictures or music compressed on a DVD are divided into several sections is called title. Chapter The smaller section unit of picture or music in a DVD under the title, usually one title consists from one or more chapters and each of them is numbered for easy searching.

Connection Ensure all the cables are disconnected from the main unit before connecting to AC power source by AC power adaptor. Read through the instructions before connecting other equipment. Do not charge up the battery pack while the unit is working with the battery pack.

Power connecting 1. Connect one end of the Car adaptor or AC/DC adaptor to DC OUT of the unit. 2. Connect the Car adaptor to cigarette jack of the car OR connect AC/DC adaptor to the power outlet. Note: before connecting to DC power, push the POWER ON/OFF switch to OFF. Connecting to battery Note: before 1 using, charge the battery fully.

before commencing connection. Do not block ventilation holes of equipment and arrange them so that air can circulate freely. Read through the instructions before connecting other equipment. Ensure that you observe the color-coding when connecting audio and video cables. During DVD play, the TV volume may be at a lower level than during TV broadcasts, etc. If this is the case, adjust the volume to the desired level.
System setup 1. Press SETUP button on the RC to enter the setup menu. In Setup mode, press SETUP button again to quit the setup page. 2. Use the buttons to choose the setup page: General setup page, Speaker setup page, Dolby digital setup, Preference page.

Preference page TV TYPE Select a color system that corresponds to your TV when AV output is used. This unit is compatible with both NTSC and PAL. In order for a DVD disc to play on this unit ,the color system of the disc, the TV and the unit should match. AUDIO, SUBTITLE, DISC MENU language setup These are the initial settings by your preference.
General operations LCD mode 1. Open the display. 2. Press MODE button to show the menu. 3. Use the cursor buttons to select the screen Size, Brightness, Contrast, Hue, then press the button to adjust the level of the selected item. The level of Brightness, Contrast, Hue can be adjusted –20 - +20.

For double-side DVDs, check each side carefully, then push the disc in securely. For CDs or one-sided DVDs, you do not have to worry about touching the label (printed) side of the disc with your fingers. Since two-sided DVDs, however, have signal recorded on both sides, so be careful not to scratch them when removing them from the unit.

Repeat mode Press REPEAT button on the RC to repeat a title, chapter, all (for DVD/VCD) or repeat track, folder, all (for CD). Note: for VCD disc to use the Repeat function please turn the PBC function OFF. Repeat a section between point A and B: During playback, press AB button on the RC at the starting point of the section you want to repeat (point A).
DVD and Video CD operations Working with screen menu After inserting the DVD disc with menu screen or video CDs with playback control (PBC), a menu appears on the screen. During playback press the MENU button to open the disc menu. Press the TITLE button to open the title menu for DVD disc. DVD disc: Use the cursor buttons to select the item, then press the ENTER button to confirm.

Step function During disc playback press the STEP button on the RC to step the motion. Press PLAY/PAUSE button to start playback. Selecting the channel (VCD) During VCD playback press AUDIO button repeatedly, the audio output mode will be changed: STEREO, LEFT, RIGHT channel.
MP3, WMA, MP4 and JPEG files operations MP3/WMA files playback 1. Insert the disc containing the files in MP3 or WMA format to be played and after a few seconds, the screen of the monitor will show all the folders on the disc. 2.

Troubleshooting Symptom Comments Picture is disturbed when playing a DVD This unit incorporates copyright Protection technology.
