Symptom:

MIC MESSAGES NOT RECEIVED

When Monitored and Set Condition:
MIC MESSAGES NOT RECEIVED
When Monitored: Ignition On - Continuously
Set Condition: When the CAB detects the MIC is not connected or not functioning
correctly for 10 seconds.
CHECK FOR DTCS
VERIFY DTC
ATTEMPT TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE MIC
MODULE
TEST

Turn the ignition on.
With the DRBIII , read BCM DTC's.
Are any Cluster Wakeup Output DTC's set?
Yes → Refer to symptom list for problems related to the cluster wakeup
→ Go To 2
No
2
Turn the ignition on.
With the DRBIII , erase DTC's.
With the DRBIII , read DTC's.
Did this DTC reset?
Yes → Go To 3
→ The condition that caused this DTC is currently not present. Use
No

Turn the ignition on.
With the DRBIII , attempt to communicate with the Instrument Cluster (MIC).
Was the DRBIII able to I/D or communicate with the Instrument Cluster (MIC)?
Yes → Go To 4
→ Refer to the Communication category for the related symptom(s).
No
POSSIBLE CAUSES
ACTION
