5.5 LOCATION OF MATERIAL SENSOR

This sensor is capable of detecting the different types of materials that is used, the
characteristics of this sensor is that there is a light beam that deflects from a reflector
which is mounted opposite the sensor inside the front cover, so when the beam
becomes broken a signal is generated to the control system.
Material Sensor error;
1. be sure that the main cover is closed properly
2. be sure that the detection Lens of the sensor is clean and free from grease.
3. if the Material Sensor alarm is still generated after stages 1 & 2 then the
sensor can simply be reset.
Resetting Material Sensor;
1. With the cover closed and the sensor free from obstruction, press the reset
button for 3 seconds until both LED's are flashing synchronously.
2. Place a bar in the channel and slide part of the bar into the spindle section,
this will break the beam between the sensor and the reflector.
3. Press the reset button for 1 second then remove the bar from the channel and
now the sensor is ready to operate.
