Electrical Supply
A nearby 115 VAC GFCI outlet is required to run the pump and inline control.
Branch Circuit Protection
Integral solid state short circuit protection does not provide branch circuit protection. Branch circuit protec-
tion must be provided in accordance with the National Electrical Code and any additional local codes, or the
equivalent.
Ground Connections
Risk of damage to system
Ensure that the system is properly grounded all the way to the service entrance panel.
Make sure a service entrance ground rod is properly installed and connected.
Priming the System
Pump should not be primed until all plumbing is complete.
1.
Remove the pump's priming plug and fill the pump case and
supply suction line with clean water.
2. Reinstall the priming plug.
3. Open one discharge fixture (like a faucet). This allows any air to
escape and allows water to run through the pump, control, and
plumbing when power is applied.
4. Plug the electrical cord into a 115 VAC GFCI outlet. On the Inline
Control, you see the green Power On LED turns on.
5. Water should flow from the open discharge fixture. On the
Inline Control, the yellow Pump On LED turns on, indicating water
flow.
6. Press the control restart/reset button to run the pump again for
another priming cycle, see below for further details.
Priming is considered complete when water flows from the open
discharge fixture. At this time, the discharge fixture can be closed.
The system is ready for use.
Correcting No Water Flow
If the pump stops before water flows, and the red Fault LED blinks,
attempt to re-prime the system.
1.
Unplug the system from the power outlet.
2. Remove the priming plug from the pump.
3. Refill the pump case and supply suction line with water as needed.
4. Replace the priming plug.
5. Connect the SWC Inline control power cord into the power outlet.
6. Press the Reset Button on the front of the inline control.
The Reset button runs the pump for 10 seconds. If still no water flow, you may need to repeat the above
steps until the discharge line fills with water from the pump.
