IF YOU CANNOT READ OR UNDERSTAND THESE INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS DO
This remote control system was developed to provide a safe, reliable, and user-friendly remote control system for gas
heating appliances or other compatible appliances. The system can be operated manually from the transmitter.
When you start up the remote, if a low battery signal appears or if the LCD screen
does not illuminate when you touch it, check battery position and if the batteries are
fully charged
.
TRANSMITTER BUTTONS
1. [MODE] - Switches the appliance on/thermo/off.
2. [PROG] - Turns on and off the program function.
3. [SET] - Used in different functions to confirm settings.

NOT ATTEMPT TO INSTALL OR OPERATE
The receiver wires must be connected to the thermostat leads on your appliance.
Refer to your appliance manual for proper wiring instructions.
The transmitter operates on 4 AAA 1.5V batteries
that are included. Install the batteries
supplied with the unit into the battery
compartment. It is recommended that
ALKALINE batteries always be used for this
product. Be sure the batteries are
installed with the (+) and (-) ends facing the
correct direction.
1. BATTERY ICON - Battery power is low. See SETUP STEP 2.
2. ROOM - Indicates CURRENT room temperature.
3. SET - Indicates desired SET room temperature for THERMO operation. See
PROGRAM STEP 1.
4. FAHRENHEIT/CELSIUS - Indicates Fahrenheit/Celsius. See SETUP STEP 5.
5. FLAME- Indicates appliance is ON.
6. MODE – Indicates operation mode of system. See SETUP STEP 6.
7. UP and DOWN touchscreen icons – These are used to adjust the Time, Set
temperature, and Program functions.
8. TIME and PROGRAM TIME – Indicates current time or program time setting
when editing program settings.
9. LOCK - Child lock out. See SETUP STEP 3.
10. PROGRAM ON/OFF – Indicates when Program 1 (P1) is on or off, and
indicates when Program 2 (P2) is on or off. See PROGRAM STEP 4.
11. DAY of WEEK - Indicates current day of week, or program segment when
editing program settings.

  • Page 2 INITIAL SETUP SETUP STEP 1: RECEIVER BOX SETUP. Follow wiring instructions to connect the RECEIVER to your appliance as if it were a thermostat. Install 4 "AA" batteries in the battery compartment. If required, set your appliance to be responsive to the thermostat (using settings such as AUTO/OFF or HI/LO – NOT “Manual”).
  • Page 3 SETUP STEP 5: Set C Scale The factory setting for temperature is ºF. To toggle between ºF and ºC, simultaneously press and hold the UP and DOWN icons on the touchscreen. NOTE: When changing between the ºF and ºC scales, the set temperature defaults to the lowest temperature (45 ºF, or 6 ºC).
  • Page 4 PROGRAMMING SETUP PROGRAM STEP 1: Set THERMO mode to your desired cool temperature (for example, 67 Press the [MODE] button to place the transmitter into THERM mode, Press the UP or DOWN icons on the touchscreen to select the target temperature you want for cooler periods of the day (for example, 67 The transmitter will send either a THERMON or THERMOFF signal to the appliance every 2 minutes, based on the set temperature and the ambient temperature in the room.
  • Page 5 PROGRAM STEP 3: Enter your programs NOTE: Programming mode STARTS with the Weekend segment. Press the PROG button and hold for 5 seconds, until the program section of the LCD screen begins to flash. P1 ON and “S S” (Weekend Segment) will flash (See Fig. #1). Select the time you want your appliance to turn up to the P1 target temperature by using the UP and DOWN icons on the touchscreen, then press the [SET] button.
  • Page 6 PROGRAM STEP 4: Activate the program. 1 => Press the [MODE] button to enter THERM Mode (screen will display THERMON or THERMOFF, depending on your cool target temperature and current room temperature. 2=> Press the [PROG] button and the word PROGRAM will appear in the lower display along with P1 or P2, depending on the current time of day.
