Purpose of this Manual The purpose of this manual is to provide the detailed information that the user needs to know in order to correctly operate，service and inspect the volute pump． This manual is intended for persons experienced in the operation of volute pumps，or for persons who have received instruction from such experienced persons．Wiring and electrical work must be performed by qualified persons only. -

３．Installation ３.１ Before using the pump When receiving pump，check the following： If any defects，contact agent． Before unpacking，make sure that the pump is the right side up． Especially if packing is wooden crate，beware of nails， or you could hurt yourself． （1）Are all descriptions on name plate as ordered？ （2）Has any damage occurred during transportation？... -

３.４ Cautions for piping work （1）Make the suction piping as short as possible，with as less bends as possible． （2）Provide pipe supports for the piping，so that the weight of the piping is not imposed on the pump. Test operation ・Fix a coupling cover back befare operating the pump．Hands could get caught up in the coupling． ・Be sure to fix terminal box cover of motor． There is danger of electric shock． Before operate a pump, flushing the inside of pipe. But loosen the nut of packing if gland packing housing is unusual heat, or be to few amount of leakage. After driving a pump for 30 minutes, if the leakage amount is too much, fasten the packing nut slowly as watching the generation of hear. -
