Preparing for installation

Permitted mounting positions

The device is intended for installation, for example, in cabinets. The customer is responsible for observing the necessary
protection classes.
The device is self-ventilated and approved for inclined mounting at angles up to +/-35° from the vertical.
NOTICE
Damage due to overheating
Inclined installation reduces the convection by the device and therefore the maximum permitted ambient temperature for
operation.
Note the ambient temperature ranges listed in this section that apply to the rear and the front of the built-in device.
When the device is mounted, the internal temperature of the enclosure or control cabinet must not exceed 55 °C.
Information on the permissible ambient temperatures during operation can be found in section "Ambient conditions
(Page 30)".

You install the device, e.g. in landscape format. To do so, see the approved mounting positions that are described in the
following sections.

You can also install the device in portrait format.
Note
Portrait format must also be supported by the software
Only install the device in portrait format if the software used supports portrait format.
