Use as Starter Pack
The power pack can be used to jump-start a car with dead 12 V
battery. It is helpful to have a second person start the engine, while
you monitor the function of the power pack. Operate the unit as
follows:
1. Make sure that all consumers on the dead car, as ignition, lights,
radio, air condition, heater etc. are turned off.
2. To detach the battery clamps from the power pack, lightly push
up the claps and tilt to remove (see drawing).
3. Now attach the battery clamps to the dead car as follows:
- First attach the red battery clamp Plus (6) to the positive terminal of the
dead battery.
- Than attach the black battery clamp Minus (5) to a mass point on the car
body. Most vehicles are equipped with such a point somewhere close to
the battery.
Attention! Never attach the negative clamp directly to the negative termi-
nal of the battery! Flying sparks may injure you or ignite gasses from the
battery! This can lead to serve injuries and damages to the units!
Please refer to the "Jumpstart" section in your car's manual. If the instruc-
tions there differ from these procedures, please contact a professional
workshop or a breakdown service.
4. Now the engine can be started up,
if possible by a second person.
5. When the engine is running,
detach first the negative and then
the positive clamp.
