Foundations, including poured foundations and supporting framework, shall be level. To verify, measure
levelness over 4-foot (minimum) measurements. Level can be verified if a shim with a thickness no
greater than 1/16 inch can be placed under one edge of the level to attain a level reading.
ALIGNMENT
Equipment shall be installed so that it is in alignment. Alignment of UPS sections shall be ensured after
sections are fully anchored and before sections are bolted together. There shall be at least one point of
contact between each cabinet and any gaps between cabinet sides shall not exceed 1/8 inch. Refer to
Figure 3.1 for appropriate alignment.

CABINET LEVEL
All cabinets shall be level as measured left to right, front to back, and in any diagonal direction on the
top of each cabinet. This should be verified across 4-foot (minimum) measurements.
The front side of each cabinet shall be plumb to within ±1/8 inch. Verify that the front sides of the
cabinets (excluding the doors) are plumb ±1/8 inch over the entire height of the cabinet.
