GENERAL
The BS-475 (white) or BS-475/B (carbon) alarm siren is used exclusively with the BS-
468/A panel. When the siren is activated, a red flashing light and a sound of 105dB
which range is 1 meter distance, are produced. Inside the device there is a tamper that
activates the siren if someone tries to remove its cover or pull the device off the wall.
The device is placed externally on a flat wall, at a height of more than 2.5 meters
and away from places or objects that can prevent the transmission of its sound. It is
recommended that the photovoltaic panel to be placed at a point where it has the
best possible visual contact with the sunlight.
ATTENTION!!! All four retaining screws must be installed.
The siren board has a LED (FLASH) jumper which can be set either in (ON) or in
(OFF) position. If the jumper is set to the (ON) position, the beacon makes a short
blink every 8 seconds in normal mode. Otherwise (jumper in OFF position) it is
turned off until an alarm is triggered. In any case it will be constantly on in sound
mode, regardless the jumper position. Also,upon arming procedure, the siren will
"flash" 3 times when the system is armed, but it will "flash" once when the system is
disarmed. This feature can be disabled from the control panel menu settings.
Flash mode from jumper and Arm-Disarm indication function are two independent
functions. Activating one of those settings will not activate the other and vice versa.
The siren sounds alarm when the BS-468/A control panel sends the
corresponding command. The beacon remains ON, as long as the sound lasts.

When the BS-468/A panel is in wireless installation mode and we want to insert the BS-475 or BS-475/B siren into the network, one of the 2 photovoltaic panel's cables in the KL1 terminal must be removed before we install the device in the network. When the device enters the network, the cable must be re-installed to the KL1 terminal.
- Page 3 SIREN SOUND SELECTION SIREN SOUND SELECTION The device has 8 different sounds. The selection is done by slider switches 1, 2 and 3 of the DS1 dip switch (Photo 4). Slide switch 4 is inactive. By default only the slide switch 2 is ON.
