Peripheral Setup

Choose the Peripheral Setup icon from the WINBIOS Setup screen to display
the Peripheral Setup options, described below.
Onboard Floppy Controller This option enables the floppy drive controller on the motherboard.
The settings are Enabled or Disabled. The Optimal and Fail-Safe default
settings are Enabled.
Onboard Primary IDE Controller Set this option to Enabled to enable the onboard IDE
controller. The settings are Disabled or Enabled. The Optimal and Fail-Safe
default settings are Disabled.
Onboard IDE Bus Master Set this option to Enabled to enable PCI bus mastering support for
the onboard IDE controller. This option only appears if the Onboard Primary
IDE Controller option is set to Enabled. The settings are Enabled or Disabled.
The Optimal default setting is Disabled. The Fail-Safe default setting is N/A.
Serial Port1 Address This option specifies the base I/O port address used by serial port 1. The
settings are Disabled, 3F8h, or 3E8h. The Optimal default setting is 3F8h. The
Fail-Safe default setting is Disabled. The Fail-Safe default setting cannot be
changed.
Serial Port1 FIFO Set this option to Enabled to enable the FIFO buffer for serial port1. The
settings are Enabled or Disabled. The Optimal default setting is Disabled. The
Fail-Safe default setting is N/A.
Serial Port2 Address This option specifies the base I/O port address of serial port 2. The settings
are Disabled, 2F8h, or 2E8h. The Optimal default setting is 2F8h. The Fail-
Safe default setting is Disabled. The Fail-Safe default setting cannot be
changed.
