    (remove any paint, dirt or grease if necessary) of the car chassis. • If you add an optional noise suppressor, connect it as far away from the unit as possible. Your Alpine dealer carries various noise suppressors. Contact them for further information.
  • Page 5 1.0V-8.0V 0.1V-1.0V INPUT CH-2 Speaker Output Terminals The MRD-M501/MRD-M301 has one set of speaker outputs. Be sure to observe correct speaker output connections and phasing. Connect the positive out- put to the positive speaker terminal and the negative to negative.

    English Hexagon screw/Vis à six pans/Tornillo hexagonal Cautions on wire lead connections (MRD-M501 only) When using third-party wire cables (power supply wire), use the supplied hex screws and the hex wrench (in- cluded) to simplify the connection. Refer to the description below for the proper procedure. If you are in doubt about how to make this connection, consult your dealer.
  • Page 7 English MOUNTING THE TERMINAL COVER • The product’s appearance can be improved by mount- ing the terminal cover on the main unit after installa- tion. • Mount the terminal cover after the connections have been made and you have checked that operation is normal.
