Please check whether the NIC is properly working. In a Windows operating
system (taking Windows XP for example), right-click the My Computer
icon, and then choose Manage. Click Device Manager on the left tree
topology to check whether a device with "?" or "!" symbol is displayed
under the Network adapters option. If yes, uninstall the device driver and re-
install the driver. Or you can insert the NIC into another slot. If the problem
is not solved, replace the NIC.
