b To ensure proper ventilation and to facilitate module replacement, the following clear-
ances should be maintained around an ST station:
b When mounting, please pay attention to alignment of the modules to ensure adequate
ventilation:
b The DIN rail should be mounted on a level substrate to avoid torsion.
b Mount the ST modules in a separate control cabinet or at a sufficient distance away from
electromagnetic switching devices that cause vibrations and emissions. There must be
clearance of at least 100 mm between ST modules and such devices.
