Additional Functions

The MF5 provides additional functionality which can be selected at any time
during operations as required.
Function
Volume Up
Volume Down
Volume Mute
Vibration ON / OFF
LED Display ON / OFF
Infrared LED Display
ON / OFF
Tactical Mode
Battery Status
Factory Reset
NOTE: Unless Factory Reset is conducted, or the MF5 starts in Tactical Mode, the MF5
will operate using the previously selected additional functions when restarted.
Battery Status indication will be accurate for NiMH batteries but not for other
battery chemistries.

Short Press (< 0.5 s)
Short Press (< 0.5 s)
Long Press (> 0.5 s)
Short Press (< 0.5 s)
Short Press (< 0.5 s)
Long Press (> 0.5 s)
Press and hold Mode Button

then the Power Button
Long Press (> 0.5 s)
Press and Hold Power Button
for > 5 s on startup
Outcome
Raise volume level from
1 to 9 (Default is 6).
Decrease volume level from
9 to 1 (Default is 6).
Mutes main speaker but not the
Earset when connected. Long
press to un-mute.
Toggles handle vibration
ON and OFF.
Toggles LED display
ON and OFF.
Toggles IR LED display
ON and OFF.
After two short vibrations
release both Buttons. Main
speaker muted, IR LEDs
activated, vibration activated.
Audio available via Earset
if required.
Battery status indicated on
LED display for three seconds.
MF5 initiates with:
• Detection Mode
• Audio ON
• Vibration OFF
• LED / IR OFF
• Volume Level 6
