3. To physically locate the failed drive, activate the blinking feature of the LED of the failed drive:

4. Set the failed drive to be offline in the storage pool to prevent writing to or reading from the drive. This
command line is not applicable for spare or cache drives.

5. Physically replace the failed drive.
• To replace the failed drive in the Lenovo Storage DX8200N storage system, refer to the Lenovo

• To replace the failed drive in Lenovo JBOD D1212/D1224/D3284, refer to the Hardware Installation

6. Identify the new drive:
CLI@nexenta> disk list
The name of the new drive is displayed, for example: c1t5000CCA39ACF89DAd0.
7. Replace the failed drive with a new drive in the same storage pool.
CLI@nexenta> pool replace [-fnv] poola c1t50000393B8C83E9Cd0 <new-disk>
Example:
CLI@nexenta> pool replace [-fnv] poola c1t50000393B8C83E9Cd0 c1t5000CCA39ACF89DAd0
To optimize the performance, it is recommended that the new drive is the same size, speed, and media
type as the failed one.
8. Set the new drive in the storage pool to be online.
CLI@nexenta> pool online [-env] poola c1t5000CCA39ACF89DAd0
