5. Unpacking and
setting up
NOTE: when the device is used the first few
times, some odour may be generated by the
device due to the heating of the motor. This
is harmless. Please ensure adequate ventila-
tion.
1. Remove all packing material.
2. Check to ensure that all parts are pres-
ent and undamaged.
3. Disassemble the device (see "Disman-
tling the device" on page 43).
4. Clean the device prior to first
use! (see "Cleaning and servicing the
device" on page 44).
5. Figure B: wind the excess power cable
around the cable spool 24 on the un-
derside of the base unit 17.
6. Place the base unit 17 on a level, dry
and waterproof surface, so that the de-
vice can neither fall nor slip off.
Select a smooth, clean surface, so that
the suction feet 15 can stick firmly in
place and ensure a secure grip.
CAUTION:
Overflowing liquid would flow onto the
surface. You should therefore place the
device on a waterproof surface.
NOTE: the device may move slightly while
you are processing large quantities of
dough.
