Shower not working at all; knobs seem to be stuck. I don't own the house, it is my deceased brother's and I don't know if the water is turned on, but it doesn't seem to working.

A possible cause of a Kohler shower not working with stuck knobs could be a problem with the diverter or buildup in the ball joint assembly. It is recommended to check the inlet screen and flow control in the ball joint for any blockage. Also, ensure the diverter knob is functioning properly and not stuck due to debris or mineral buildup.
