Thermal shield
Before removing the thermal shield, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly
2. Remove the bottom cover (see

6. Remove the second display transfer board (see
7. Remove the power connector board and bracket (see
8. Remove the system board (see
Remove the thermal shield:
1. Remove the Phillips M2.0 × 2.5 screw (1) that secures the shield to the computer.
2. Remove the thermal shield from the computer (2) while pulling the antenna cable through the hole in
the shield (3).
Reverse this procedure to install the thermal shield.
