4 INTENDED USE DHOLLANDIA manual and hydraulic ramps are designed to be fitted to commercial vehicles (commercial vans, trucks, trailers and semi-trailers), and shall be used exclusively to load and unload the goods transported on the vehicle they are fitted to, within the limits of the load chart, in compliance with the operator instructions and safety instructions described in this manual.
6 DESCRIPTION AND HYDRAULIC RAMP TERMINOLOGY DHOLLANDIA manual and hydraulic ramps are developed and manufactured using state-of-the-art technology, high quality materials and components and highly skilled workmanship. They comply with the European CE safety regulations mentioned in the Declaration of Conformity issued with each lift (unless agreed otherwise for hydraulic ramps exported outside of CE region).

Inspect the ramp prior to each use. If any unsafe condition exists or unusual noises or movements are noticed, DO NOT use the ramp and contact an authorized DHOLLANDIA service agent for repair. Please see ‘pre-trip inspection’ procedures from page 7.5 on page 18 onwards.

For loads that could slip, DHOLLANDIA strongly recommends that a winch mounted at the front of the vehicle body (or equivalent means) be used to control the speed of movement of the load. Prevent a hazardous, too fast descent while offloading, or a slide- back of the load while loading.

DHOLLANDIA hydraulic ramps are equipped with control boxes with mandatory 2 hand operation. This mandatory 2-hand operation has 2 benefits: 1. When OPENING, it prevents the operator from standing behind the platform and being hit by it.

10.7 THE USE OF STABILISING LEGS DHOLLANDIA ramps are available with 2 types of stabilizing legs: Hydraulic stabilizing legs are operated via the main external control box. They are available in capacities of 2.5 tons, 4 tons and 10 tons, and are therefore suitable for a wide range of commercial vans and trucks.
